Description
Jan-Carel Koster takes you along and challenges you to turn your feelings and ideas into something visible.
His work is highly regarded and makes huge sculptures in marble and wood that are placed all over the world. It is also an honor for us to have him in our group and he is willing to give workshops on the grounds of The Green Circle. Count on it that you are chopping!
Sculpting is something special in the master class and at Oerkracht. In the five days that you work on the side of the master, you discover that designing is something completely different than just removing wood or stone. The play of lines in your paper acquires different meanings
As you learn to look further than you normally do. By learning technical backgrounds and gaining more insight into the material you will really be able to get something beautiful out of your hands. How? The master “him self” will explain that exactly in the master class.
Three wonderfull meals included!

The terrain of The Green Circle is on the estate De Zonnebloem in the beautiful countryside in the east of Holland. The different workshops for the variety of disciplines that will be taught are made of large logs with different roofs. The fresh wood workshop has a wooden roof of no less than 8x8 meters and the outdoor workshop for forging is built between two dikes with a grass roof. The working spaces for basketry and sculpture are made of a beautiful wooden structure with cotton tarpaulin. Our new field kitchen, which we have built in 2016, has a big roof of 10 meters length, so we can eat protected from the occasional rain. The highlight of our field kitchen is the cozy campfire spot in the center. This year we're busy building the ceramics workshop and oven. During your stay you have the possibility to sleep in a tent, a camper or a log cabin right next to our premises which can be booked separately. Nearby there are also a lot of B&B's, hostels or hotels available.
