Description
During this yoga, meditation and Ayurveda retreat in
India:
- You have come to a holy place with unique rays of spirituality. Here, Govind helps you to go deep with your personal spiritual practice with yoga, meditation, ayurvedic life understanding, and self-reflection.
- You will be inspired and discover a new understanding of yourself by his satsangs, classes and reflective group talks based on the ancient knowledge of yoga.
- You will meet different enlightened masters who may give you a new viewpoint of your life understanding. We visit different ashrams, amazing temples and walk the famous pilgrimage route around the holy mountain Arunachala because most of all, you will be touched by one of India’s most holy pilgrimage places: Tiruvannamalai, the city with Arunachala; the sacred mountain of fire, and Ramana Ashram; the center for searching the higher Self as showed by the saint Ramana Maharshi.
- Govind invites you to “his India” - in his home country and to the mountain Arunachala where Govind has been meditating since he was a teenager. This opens an opportunity for you to learn from the inside of an ancient, rich and unique culture. Together, we cross the usual tourist border lines and make you feel as a participant rather than a spectator. All guest teachers -including swamis and other radiating personalities - are people we are personally connected to.
- Govind takes you to places that inspire him the most, whether it’s an amazing temple or a poor farmer in his hut. The classes and guidance are based on the ancient Advaita Vedanta (non-dual) philosophy.
- We use the tools of yoga, meditation, and ayurveda to reach a deeper understanding of the essence of self-realization as Ramana Maharshi exemplified it.
- Each person will have a 40 - 60 minutes individual session with Govind during the retreat.
- Your registration will be confirmed when you receive a confirmation from Santhi Yoga.

5  Pictures of the Accommodation and Location
The base for the course is the resort Arunai Anantha; a peaceful resort located at the foot of the holy mountain Arunachala away from the traffic noise and crowds of the small roads in the ashram area in Tiruvannamalai. Here Govind gives spiritual classes and we discuss and reflect upon our experiences by the holy mountain. We use the spiritual surroundings outside the resort daily and will spend much time in the peaceful vibration of the saint Ramana Maharshi in Ramana Ashram – just a five minutes’ drive away. Each afternoon you have some hours to "digest" on your own: visit your favorite ashram, drink a chai in the local tea stall, chill out with a fresh papaya juice or have a refreshing swim in the pool at the resort. But most of the time you are with the group and will be guided by Govind.
Accommodation takes place in Arunai Anantha Resort which is situated at the foot of Arunachala mountain. It is retracted from the traffic and busy life of Tiruvannamalai which can be reached in a few minutes in an autorickshaw. The daily teachings will also take place at Arunai Anantha. Besides having nice and comfortable rooms, the resort serves nice Indian food in their garden restaurant and have a lovely outdoor yoga shala for our classes. In the afternoons, when the peak temperature will be around 28 degrees, you can enjoy the swimming pool or drink a cooling fresh juice on the terrace while digesting the inputs of the day. The rooms are comfortable with A/C, toilet, and bath. You will be sharing a double room with another participant of your own sex. A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional fee.
Food: Most meals we share together in relation to the course. We offer traditional South Indian food and each day you will have 3 delicious vegetarian meals.
